After signing with WA Entertainment, hip hop duo, Geeks has returned with a new track! Geeks made their debut with “Officially Missing You” in 2011 and continued to gain popularity through their following singles, “Just Leave“, “In the Morning“, and “Hold It Down“. 시스타의 소유와 함께한 'Officially Missing You, Too'로 전 음원차트를 석권한 바 있는 힙합듀오 긱스(Geeks)가 반 년 만에 하림과 함께한 싱글앨범 '어때'를 발표한다.
'어때'(작사: Lil Boi & Louie / 작곡: Lil Boi & Louie, 김도훈 / 편곡: 이상호)는 '나에겐 너 하나 뿐 일 줄만 알았던 생각이 이제는 변했어'란 가사처럼 긱스의 사뭇 달라진 모습을 만날 수 있는 곡이다. 떠나간 그녀 없이도 인생 전반에서 자립성을 찾아 행복하게 살고 있음을 자랑하는 긱스의 당돌함이 눈에 띄지만 2절 말미의 '바쁜 나지만 가끔 생각이 나는 우리 추억이란 작품'같은 부분에서는 묘한 감정의 여운도 남긴다.
'어때'는 긱스 특유의 개성 있는 보이스톤과 리드미컬한 랩, 귀에 감기는 멜로디라인이 돋보이며 하림의 하모니카 연주가 곡 전반에 흥겨운 느낌을 더한다.

This song comes before the release of their first full length album coming up later this month, and features the characteristic rhythmical rap of the duo along with the harmonica sounds provided by Harim. |
